In collaboration, CONCITO, IDA and State of Green are hosting this conference with the focus on how the green transition can create both growth and jobs in Denmark, Europe and globally. The purpose is to highlight the importance of employment and competencies in the green transition in the next 9 years towards 2030. Denmark can contribute not only with the green technologies and solutions, but also show how it is possible to secure a just green transition through a strategic transition of the labor market. In the green transition it is vital that noone is left behind and this is therefore also one of the key elements of the “European Green Deal” through the just transition mechanism. This mechanism will support and secure that both people and societies are ready for the green transition.
Denmark has earlier worked with a strategic green transition of the labor force and this experience can be utilised by the danish labor market and business sectors when implementing a larger transition of both the labor market and workforce. The Danish flexicurity model can secure that the working force is prepared and ready, when we are to accelerate the green as well as digital transition towards 2030.
The purpose of the day is to highlight the advantages of a green transition when it comes to job creation and growth in Denmark and globally, as well as initiate the dialogue on how we can secure the necessary competencies, skills and people towards a green, digital and just transition by 2030.
