Sarah Vormsby is an analyst working on current EU policy on refugees and irregular migration, as well as on the EU’s common security and defense policy. Furthermore, she is part of the Think Tank Europa’s ongoing project on historical refugee flows to Europe.
Sarah holds a MSc in Political Science from the University of Copenhagen specializing in defense and security policy. She wrote her master thesis on the EU as a maritime security actor analyzing its practice during the anti-piracy operation at the Horn of Africa.
Furthermore, Sarah holds a MSc in Conflict Studies from London School of Economics and Political Science. She worked extensively on the EU’s humanitarian role and its partnership with neighboring countries on migration and refugee control.
Previously, Sarah worked for the Center for European Policy at the University of Copenhagen and for the umbrella organization EURECO.
