What EU diplomats really think about 'stubborn' Britain

Summary The UK is now so isolated in Europe that other countries don't want to be seen as our ally, according to top officials speaking anonymously.

In a newly published article, senior analyst Maja Kluger Rasmussen has examined what impact the British government’s stance has had on its diplomats' relations with their counterparts in Brussels. Based on 33 interviews with diplomats from 20 countries, the study found that Britain is not yet completely marginalised.
