Talk with European Commissioner for the Economy: Building a Competitive, Green and Fair European Economy

The crises that have hit Europe since the start of this decade – from COVID to Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine – have demonstrated both the willingness and ability of the European Union to act in common. However, transitioning away from Russian fossil fuels and making Europe less dependent on the US for defence capabilities and on China for critical raw materials require massive investments. How can the EU ensure a competitive, green and fair European economy? What changes should be made to European economic governance?
