The high-level debate marks the 20th anniversary of the historic EU enlargement from 15 to 25 member states in 2004, unifying a Europe that had been divided for half a century.
20 years ago, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Cyprus, Malta, Slovakia and Slovenia joined the European Union – what are the lessons learned, and where do they leave us in the light of future EU enlargements?
The debate is hosted by the Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to Denmark, H.E. Antoni Fałkowski, and the Head of the Representation of the European Commission in Denmark, Mr Per Haugaard, in cooperation with Think Tank EUROPA and Rasmussen Global.
